Our Annual Halloween Parade

The Kiwanis Club's annual Halloween Parade has been held in the community for over 30 years.  The parade starts with floats and other adult participants at Crofton Woods Elementary School and then marches clockwise around the Parkway.  We pick up the costumed children from the Prince of Peace Church.  All then march the last half mile to Crofton Elementary School where we serve refreshments, listen to the bands from the high schools and other music, and watch while "Captain and Mrs. Pumpkin" hand out several categories of prizes for best costumes.

The Crofton Kiwanis Club will be holding its 41st Annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 28, 2017, and we invite community organizations to participate in the Parade.

This year we will again use our traditional longer route, which begins at Crofton Woods Elementary School at the intersection of Urby Drive and Crofton Parkway. We will assemble at Crofton Woods Elementary School between 10:00am and 11:00am with the parade stepping-off promptly at 11:00am.

The parade will wind down Crofton Parkway past the Crofton Country Club, with the costumed children and their parents joining the parade at the Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church. It continues down Crofton Parkway, ending at the Crofton Elementary School on Duke of Kent Street. The Crofton Community lines the street to join in the festivities which are enjoyed by young and old. The parade lasts approximately one hour.

Registration for the costume contest will be held at the Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church starting at 10:00 AM.

At Crofton Elementary School on Duke of Kent St. we will distribute refreshments, and award prizes for the best costumes.

If your organization would like be one of the participants in the Parade, please contact Al Tucker at tel. 410-721-2078, or email:
